We Will Pick You Up Again (2015 / 2017) focuses on the in-between moments of a guided tour in a desert coastal region. The title’s appearance loosely references the context, while the scenes recorded during a tour break vaguely suggest a narrative. The use of image and sound reflects the medium of video and its limitations. The work also explores the relationship between humans, nature, and the photographic image, as well as the Western gaze upon a non-Western landscape.
